PTO
Mission Statement
"PTO is a partnership between staff and families to serve together to enhance and maximize the educational potential of every child."What is PTO?
PTO stands for Parent-Teacher Organization. We support school staff, help promote student self-esteem, and assist efforts to solve school needs through volunteers and funding. All parents and other family members are encouraged to participate in PTO activities thoughout the year, even if unable to attend the monthly meetings.PTO activities happen every day at RMS with the parents who volunteer in and out of school. Preparing special events for staff appreciation, making copies, and hosting fundraising events are just a few examples of PTO activities.
President's Message
Welcome back RMS students and parents. Your PTO has many new faces along with some new and exciting ideas for the 2012/13 school year. We would like to start the year by building SCHOOL SPIRIT!! So… every Friday will be "Spirit Friday." All students wearing any kind of RMS shirt (RMS Band, RMS Drama, RMS t-shirt, etc.) will be rewarded during their lunch time…EVERY FRIDAY! Even more exciting this year is "Design the RMS Spirit Shirt Contest." We are offering every student the opportunity to design the new RMS spirit shirt. Entry forms will be available in the front office, the cafeteria and on the website for the first two weeks of school. All entries must be submitted by 9/20/12. Three finalists will be on display for voting the week of 9/24 and the winner will be announced on Oct. 1st.
Also this year PTO will be sponsoring some dress up days with prizes for the top participating classes and teachers dates to be announced.
We would like to thank all of the parents that have volunteered at RMS in the past and hope to see you again this year. Don't forget to register at www.getinvolvedineducation.com.
PTO has gone PURPLE. All paper correspondence from PTO will be on purple paper this year. Please check the RMS website often and don't forget to go to the PTO page for your "Dates to Remember."
Stay informed by "liking" RMS PTO on our new Facebook page. You can also contact us at: Ramblewoodpto@gmail.com. We are bringing back the "No-Hassle" fundraising again this year. Please look for the purple form in your first day packet. In this tough economy we appreciate any and all donations made by our RMS families. Also coming back is the Boogie, Bop & Bounce. What a great way to raise money for technology and get out of class at the same time!
The administration and students in middle school need you more than ever so please make a difference and get involved. Here's to a great year at Ramblewood Middle School!
